Sequins

This is another item that is quickly becoming popular for winter/spring this year not to be over flashy with them but a subtle ddition to sparkle up your ourfit the party season. Sequins have been around since 2500bc in the Indus Valley but in the forms not like the plastic ones that we have today. Sequin the word comes from the French version of the Italian word zecchino. A sequin is also called a spangle, pailette. They were origionally made by rolling out gold very fine, cutting them out and then painting them so that the do not get any scratches when they were worn. Sequins were worn by the finest people due to the of golds price. But for this season a skirt, top or accesory will suffice, No need for real gold!

Lady Gaga

I decided to talk about Lady Gaga since she just stole the show at the ema's in more ways than one! There is no doubting that Lady Gaga is crazy with outfits like the meat dress and the dress made out kermit the frog at the ema's she stole the show not in just winning four awards biggest fans, best song, best video and best female. As good as that is i am going to talk about the four crazy outfits that she wore in the show her first was a metallic colored dish that covered her whole face apart from her eyes her joke was 'i have had a lot of botox lately it is true' she did have a type of theme that were running throughout the outfits was this spaceship metallic dish that was in all of her outfits in some way or the other in her space theme and she preformed marry the night attached to a moon. Another theme that was that all of her outfits were made out of paper! The outfits below are all made out of paper with some of metallic dish all and the main outfits incorporated  a circular theme. Lady Gaga has had crazy outfits but in many ways she has started trends and is now practically a model for Alexander Mc Queen.

The video is about her some of the crazy shoes that she wears on a daily basis that is from youtube by thecamyc and all images are from MTV the host of the EMA'S. Lady Gaga real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta is a singer/songwriter from New York America she has become huge in the last few years and is now an international hit travelling around the world.

Leather

Leather is somthing that along with fur is coming up in this season but it has evolved from leather shoes and bags it has now moved into the phase of skirts, shorts and trousers. Leather has been around since as early as 1300bc leather was used for everything from carpet to clothes. It was produced in America, Asia, Egypt and Europe and most areas. My stance on leather is less severe than fur and a lot is being rectified and the matter in Indian and Chinese leather process is being worked on and more and more people are opting for synthetic false leather and there is plenty of clothing options for real and false leather. The trend is currently is trousers, skirts and shorts.

Fur for autumn/winter 2011

Personally I am against fur because i do not agree with the killing of animals just for their fur and the conterversal fashion trends that is behind it but fur is one of the upcoming trends for autumn/ winter 2011 this is because it is practical, warm and fashionable. It also shows a sign of luxury this is why it was big before and one of the reasons behind its take off. The fur trade started in the 1500s between the Europeans and Indians they bartered fur for everyday items. Fur was used to keep people warm in cold climates. Fur was originally was huge in Europe, America and in cold climate areas. There is always some controversy around fur and quite honestly there always will be the argument is. Is it right killing animals for their fur? I feel personally no it is not. But even now there is problems around false lookalike fur and trying to replicate real fur and the controversial trade behind it. But if you are interested in wearing fur here are some tips to get the look right, natural colours are always in when it comes to fur but this season has introduced bold, bright dyed colours and these are a great option especially for the party season ahead to inject some colour. If you don't want to wear a large quantity of fur go for smaller items like accessories.If you are middle of the road between if you agree with it or not I say do not wear it because people do react to people wearing it real or fake.If you are interested for more tips please go to www.fashionising.com there is loads of great information and tips!
